Ugghhh .... Uni-axial carbon ? ULC blade ? I read somewhere on internet that someone dropped it on the floor and it clean snapped in two!

So i guess the BEST way to identify my bat is to drop it. If it splits = Carbon Core CONFIRMED.

Still curious about why uniaxial carbon came up. The DHS blade definitely uses biaxial cloth, and your blade is most likely wood. And I still don't see why uniaxial carbon would mean a blade would split in half. I mean, if you karate chopped one between bricks it might, but there's usually wood cross-plies to prevent this.

Thick or not, it still might be carbon. Who was it who was making center carbon blades - I think it was ASTI, in the late 1990s.

I found a new one. DHS PG13. It's a 4+1.
Now I'm wondering how a carbon center blade plays.

Hurricane Hao 3 and Hurricane King 3 from years ago have center carbon. The PG13 is more recent more economical offering.

Finally got a chance to hit with this thing.

It has to be the weirdest blade I've ever used. Blocking and counterhit is easy. High control.
Speed is Off- to Off.
On hits and blocks it has a very low sound almost like a Def blade possibly due to the large head size.
It has a weird sound; it's low but for some reason also sounds "muted" if you will.

But on smashes and mid-far distance looping it has a loud 'ping'. Very high control on this thing.
Very easy to counterloop and even with crap technique the ball somehow always lands where you want it to.
Only downside as of now is the heavy weight since I haven't sanded the wings all the way yet like I would with other blades.
After sanding I expect this to be the best blade I own.
