Blade: Stiga Alser defensive
FH: Friendship Tackspeed 2mm
BH: Sriver fx 2mm
Hi, I've recently broken my vintage flared Stiga Alser Defensive blade.
I particularly liked the chunky thick handle which is flared both ways.
From front to back it starts at 25mm and finishes at 27mm thick at the end.
My other flared blades :
Butterfly Secretin 22mm
Butterfly Yonyer 23.5mm

I'm interested in the Donic Defplay Senso v3 and Yasaka Sweden Defensive in particular to compare.

I've found a thread on straight handled blades but not one on flared handles.

Please list the flared handle blades that you have tried in order from thin to thick.

BH: Yasaka Rising Dragon 2.0
The only flared defensive paddles I've tried are the Aurora, Defplay and JSH. All others have been Straight handle since then. I would describe all of them as very thin, and certainly not chunky in any way. In fact, I remember wrapping grip tape around my Defplay to make it thicker.

Thank you for that Japsican.
I'll cross the Defplay off my list !
I've had a suggestion of a Stiga blade with a legend handle, however they don't seem to do a basic defensive blade anymore and uk shops don't stock the legend handle, only the master which is narrower.
So I'll try the Yasaka Sweden Defensive and if need be, swop the handles over !
The blade material looks similar in appearance and colour too, so hopefully should play the same.
