Hi Guys, Need some advice my hard to remove rubber. Unfortunately i HAVE peeled off the pips on one side of my rubber, but the sponge is firmly glued to the blade. This hasnt happened to me before as in all cases I have gently peeled prev rubbers off..It was glued with a rubber solution for TT bats.I've picked the edges but looks like it would take a week to remove all, unless there is something else I can do. My bats are not the expensive type,This one DHS 6002. I wonder if sanding would be a safe option.? I did a search on here but didnt see anything here.

Apparently once you've removed most of it (bit by bit), a large pencil eraser will help remove the stubborn bits.

You can use Acetone ( Nail Polish Remover) to help make it easier to remove the stubborn rubber / sponge bits.

If you have a really stubborn one Charlie, it's just hard work that gets it off. I had one where I did only do a quarter of each side per day such was the effort it took. In the end it was scrubbing with the sole of a child's sneaker that got it off for me. Eucalyptus oil sometimes helps but unfortunately there is no magic method. Just chip away bit by bit.

Stubborn glue usually loosens up and weakens the bond by putting some acetone solvent at the seam. Use an eye dropper to put just a few drops at time at the glue seam where you wan to peel the sponge off. It will stay in the crack and work its way forward as you peel. Keep adding a couple more drops as it dries up very fast.
If you don't have any straight hardware store acetone, fingernail polish remover is about the same thing. Keep it away from any plastic and lacquer finishes.

Wow I never knew that! and I buy a ton of cheap premades for about $0.2 each weekly to remove the sponge in there.
I should try this with my next purchases.

Why so many? Also, consider hardbat premades.. no sponge so easier to deal with.
