I was jumping around Youtube and saw this.

Catenaccio has been around for some time in the Chopping world and a good player. He seems to have found a combination that works well for him. But a Viscaria? Seems like it would be fast, but he says he uses FL3 and that the slower pips really make this combo work well.

Of course, I have to try this next session, but thought I'd post it since it's interesting. I checked on pimp my blade and it sounds like there is a trend out there for Modern Defenders to use faster blades, which I have been doing recently with the Offensive S.

Here are vids of him playing with a Viscaria+FL3 1.0mm+Tenergy 05 1.9mm.

I have a Joola Rossi Emotion dressed up for modern defense duties: Rakza 7 on FH, Xiying 979 OX (purportedly very slow LP) on BH. Played with it for a couple of sessions quite some time ago and then set aside - IIRC FH was obviously quite capable, and BH was decent too.

I might revisit it later in the summer, because why not.

I have been hitting with this setup against the robot a lot, seems surprisingly nice and controlled.

Kinda shocked that it feels slower than the offensive S and Joo Blade, but when looping felt very powerful. I might switch to this for the next season.
