I recently dinged the edge on my Defplay:

If I press the P1-R down in the section where it's bulged, it springs right back up. I assume what's going on is that some of the wood fibers have been broken and are stuck in that bent-up state. What's the best way for me to repair this?

I would pull the rubber off (or at least around the area), and see if you can push the wood down till it's flat again. If you can, put in a little wood glue and clamp it till it dries. sand it if it's not completely flat. Then you can glue the rubber back on.
Since it's on the edge, it's unlikely to affect play.
