Post subject: | Cornilleau Gatien Crown |
Hello, I have been reading items on the forum for months but not posted before. It really is an excellent source of information. I'd like to ask for info from anyone who has used the Cornilleau Gatien Crown ALL+ blade. It is supposed to be similar to the Yasaka Sweden Extra but better quality. I have seen several reviews of the YSE elsewhere as well as comments on here which are all positive. The Crown is a 5 ply all wood blade made in Sweden like YSE (same factory perhaps - Woodhouse?). I can't see why it is so much more expensive than the YSE when the differences appear small. Both blades are supposed to have excellent control, they are both ALL+ but effective with a range of rubbers. The main difference (apart from price) is that YSE uses limba plies under anegre whereas the Crown has walnut plies under anegre so I assume is a bit stiffer/harder. If anyone can add to this it would be much appreciated thank you Steve |
