Blade: Xiom Zetro Quad
FH: Nittaku Fastarc G1
BH: Yasaka Rakza 7
So I just got Xiom's Zetro Quad about a week ago. Ive already got about 20 or so hours with it. Prior to this I was using Stiga Allround NCT for about 10 years, then I moved up to a Viscaria about 6 months ago.

The build quality is excellent, a tad heavy for some but I personally prefer weighty blades. It's very well balanced too. The FL handle fits my fairly large hands well.

I paired my blade with Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on FH and Yasaka Rakza 7 on BH. The first thing that caught my by surprise was the excellent touch and feel. Almost felt like an all wood blade. Loops are really easy, spins like a dream. The blade bites and catapults very well. Flat hits and pushes are easier and more controllable than the Viscaria. I read somewhere that the Z Quad is a tad bouncy, I honestly have no idea what that person was talking about. The Hinoki layer makes the short game a breeze. The ball stays low and linear, clears the net easily and goes where you want it to. Very little if any instances of "popping up". It blocks better than the Viscaria. Speed is a solid OFF.

I'd put it on equal footing with the Viscaria for over the table loops/counter-loops. But from mid to long range, you get more gears with the Xiom without losing any of the precision. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and it's likely to be my main blade from here on out. I do have to mention that I love my Viscaria, but I got the Xiom from a local store because it was on offer and my oh my, what a pleasant surprise. Wouldn't recommend it to a beginner of course. Anything from low level intermediates to pros will do. I'll post some pics in a bit.

Many thanks for providing a detailed review,

If possible can you record a video of 5-10 minutes in a game situation so i can see how it plays please , I'm looking to get this blade or the Stradivarius and i'm undecided , I'm mainly a Forehand topspin looper

Currently playing with VEGA PRO F/H and VEGA ASIA B/H

XIOM have told me the Zetro Quad is faster than the Stradivarius due to the Hinoki layers , can you comment?

Oh deary me, i'd be ashamed to post a vid of myself  But i'll see what I can do. I've only had about 3 hours or so with someone else's Stradivarius but it did feel slightly faster than the Z Quad, it's certainly a lot more stiffer. The Z Quad's Hinoki layers are what i personally feel gives it better touch and a more refined game. All bias aside, if it's between the Stradi and the Z Quad, get the Z Quad, it's got a unique composition, is more well rounded and has the feel of a wooden blade. The Stradi has good control for it's speed, but the Z Quad pips it in that area.
