Wow that's some soft sponge! Would you think a slightly firmer sponge like say Omega V Europe in a 2.0mm thickness would make up for that lack of speed feeling. I'm more a proponent of getting people on a firmer sponge and usually try them on XIOM Vega Pro in 2.0mm as I find that its a fairly well rounded rubber. A slightly firmer sponge should give you a little more speed reserves to pull from without losing much in return.

That said, the reason for this is that I don't like the way the extra soft rubbers tend to feel after that first month of fresh tensor feel. I really like the MX-P with its 47ish degree sponge as after that first month and it relaxes a bit I still feel that its not lost much in touch and quality. Although, that's more personal preference for harder sponges then anything else I guess.

To close this off, I've now played with the blade for several hours. At first I really didn't like it however now that I'm getting used to it I don't mind it.

It's not as fast as I was expecting. It would be fine for someone looking at a slower option in that All to OFF- range however I don't think it's worth an upgrade from ALL.

As I've said the quality appears good. It still has that woody feel though I think that's just personal preference whether you like it.

At AUD $80, the blade is fine however with so many other good options around, I think you can get just as good at a lower price.
