My new training partner is a very powerful two wing looper. His short game is lacking, though. My current setup is Fibercomp with GD Talon and the only way I can beat the guy is very low and short blocks. Anything that’s leaving the table is being killed. I’m wondering if there’s a kiri blade that’s slowe than the Fibercomp. Balsa isn’t an option. Thanks

Or you might want to consider the Tibhar COS3 defense. It’s a slow 3 ply blade. Not sure about its wood composition though it feels quite soft.
