The official re-impact Turbo 62 is the universal blade for defensive players who also want to play with a soft anti. The Turbo 62 is designed with a very slow backhand.

The Turbo 82 is preferred by offensive-oriented defensive players, players who use disruption, who are mainly equipped with LP. But it is also the blade of choice for all-round players who want to play attack with speed variations and a high degree of disruption. The Turbo 82 is therefore not as slow in the backhand as the Turbo 62, but considerably faster.

Since some players have posted reports on the special construction of the Turbo 82, attributing it to the Turbo 62, the information offered below should clear a number of things up.

Both blades still come with the same logo, which on special request can be put on the blade’s edge instead of on its handle, to distinguish the two independent playing levels, which can be activated by twiddling the wood (turning it over 180 °).

There is also a noticeable difference as regards the two different ways the handles must be held for each playing level, as the way to hold the handle must, after twiddling, change due to the asymmetry and general form of the blade. Which playing level is actually used, is only made visible by the position of the KSLS HBS system in the handle (2 - 4 visible notches.

The Turbo 82 performs best with a relatively soft handle design, which substantially increases the disruption factor of the blade as well as its elasticity. The Turbo 82 also has the largest sweet spot of all Re-Impact models, which extends into the outer edges.

To protect the handles, the manufacturer's emblem is no longer placed in them, but delivered as a separate item with the blade.

The Turbo 82 cannot be equipped with a mcp-system, as this would limit the high disruption factor of the blade. The Turbo 62, however, can be equipped with a mcp-system.

The new blades have now been adapted to the new 40+ ball and therefore no longer play well with celluloid. In the new KSLS-HBS system, the 4 notches are only visible in the concave handle of the small model (Kleinblatt). The handles of all other models have only 2 (visibly enlarged) notches on one side; the 2 other notches have been kept very narrow, but are still present. The notches serve to supply an inflow of adequate quantities of air, which, due to the constant movement in the edge and handle area of the blade, will circulate there. The notches in the handle should not be covered or only be covered with material that allows the inflow of air through them; sealing off the notches will considerably restrict the air circulation and make the blade not only faster but also diminish its feeling.

The handle’s internal system is activated by gripping the handle with your hand. We hold the grip differently at different occasions when playing, sometimes firmer and sometimes less firm; the air circulation will actually be determined by the degree of firmness with which the handle is held. How this works exactly is subject to the copyright of the inventors Achim and Eugen Rendler and cannot, therefore, be disclosed.
