But the balance seems to feel very good nonetheless.

I find that this factor is very important for me.

Aside from handle comfort, that is.

peter, that is a really nice masteapiece 8) The grains are so straight. The color is very different. Could be due to photography or is the pinkish hue real?

Cheers.

Well maybe it's because of the white balance :D
The real picture is a bit yellowish.
Never used it again though.
Need to be sealed first.
The first time I peel the the new rubber on it, it's Ok.
But when I stick the older rubber which is stickier due the accumulation of the glue, it splinter.
There's a 4 mm x 0,5 mm splinter, which I must open a table light to be able to see it :?

Yes, I am sealing all my hinoki now before I put on rubbers. Mind you, I have not had any problem so far, thankfully. But this water-based glue that I am using does sound/feel a bit scary when I peel off the rubber. So best to be safe than sorry.

Cheers.

Actually, it feels comfortable though. Don't know how comfortable it is when used in actual playing. Will know more next week... :P :P
