I'm planning to make a few equipment changes for the next season. Mainly dumping the leggy and going to either razor or inferno ox I want to find a more rigid blade than the primorac i use ( i was going to do this last year but couldn't come up with anything i liked). Anyway, I was wondering about the joo. Its rated harder and only a tad slower than the primorac. Anyone played with both and can confirm this? I'm playing a blocking/chop blocking/punchblocking attacking game...

I have not used the primorac blade, but I can comment on the JSH...
The blade is a little rigid, I would say it has a medium-hardish feel. It has been criticized by some as being too fast, but I spend a lot of time off the table (plus I don't glue) so it feels just fine to me. I don't do too much punch blocking or chop-blocking on my bh (mostly just chop), but I love blocking with it on my forehand. This might be more of a subjective issue, but I feel it has just the right ammount of stiffness to help give my blocks some pace. All things considered, I think its a great blade but, as usual with butterfly products, it's over-priced. I was able to buy it used for a good price though so I lucked out :P

Ive used both blades before and I would say the Primorac is around 10% faster but the joo has a much harder feel. The joo is a great blade but if your using sponge under the long pips, make sure its medium or soft as a hard sponge will make the whole setup a bit speedy. OX will do fine

Hi. Do you have any VDO? Wanna see how Barcelona Provincial League 3 plays. Is it a pro league?

ha! No its the lowest of the low! I put it in my sig so people know not to take any advice I give too seriously as I'm far from being an expert. I take the game very seriously and train a lot, but I've only been playing 2 years. I got into the team after one year, so I've only got 1 year competition under my belt. But at my age (47) I'm happy! People in this league normally have a good forehand loop but an iffy bh loop (if any) and bad footwork. Or they dink all over the table with superblock! From what I've seen on youtube vids it is about US1500

just an update to my progress with the JSH. Soon after buying it one of my coaches saw it and was horrified I was using it. Comments like, too slow to topspin, blocks have huge arcs, kinda put me off it especially as the guy advises our national team on equipment, so I tried a Maze passion but it wasn't really it. I then went back to the JSH and couldn't see the faults, but then I tried it with a 1.5 tackiness and immediately saw what he was getting at. This blade really is a chameleon. With soft rubber a good choppers blade, but with a harder, very glued up 2,2 Hammond X it really is a good LP blockers/topsin blade. Won a league match with it yesterday and it did everything I wanted, blocked with venom with the LPs and blasted the fh topspins. I'm convinced that for an aggresive OX LP game a rigid blade is the way to go. Now I've found it, god knows what I'm going to when the glue ban hits
