Hello all

Any reviews whether pairing Diode V with Rakza 7(1.8 mm) on Fh and butterfly tackiness chop 2 (1.5mm)on the Bh will turn out to be a good setup for a player (low intermediate) willing to play defensively?

How exactly would this setup turn out to be , what can be expected. Will this be a good combination?

Thanks

Yes I agree. The blade is not slow, it's meant for a modern-defender style, so it needs to have enough power for attack. Speed wise it's probably OFF- to OFF. It's an oversize blade too, which is common for this type of blade.

On Diode V, I'd get a 1.1 Tackiness Chop2, not 1.5 and use 1,5 or 1.8mm. VICTAS 401 on fh to play a double inverted def. game

Sort of in the same boat. I have an old JSH which may have to be retired due to wear and tear.

Looking at Diode V, pairing with Feint Long 3 1.3mm. But should I try and replicate Gionis? (give me 5% of his ability and i'll be happy :D ). So Butterfly Korbel, Feint Long 2 1.1mm?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Diode with FL3 would be much more "user friendly"... or you could try a Diode with a P4v.

Gionis' setup would be very unforgiving. Unless you loop more than you chop -- stick with DEF blades... On top of that, his Korbel is essentially a custom blade. He even said it himself that it's over 100g and has a larger handle.
