I just don't get it. Why pay more?

I just ordered a XIOM maximus,XIOM Control 3 and a Galaxy 896 this weekend,I recon if I asked my 12 yr old daughter that does not play TT which blades are of the best quality I would guarantee she would say the XIOM blades.
I am sure my 896 will be a good blade after I have spent a couple hours work on it.
I think Galaxy blades are good value and you are getting what you pay for same as everything else

Wow, you just compared a blade that Galaxy sells for $5 vs. an $80 Xiom blade. I wonder which one of those is going to be more quality. The W-1 takes a back seat in quality to nothing, and it's still less expensive, so again why pay more? You are getting what you pay for with Xiom. They are fine blades with fine blade prices. With Galaxy you get far more than what you pay for. All I said about Xiom blades are higher priced than I like to pay. I have no problems with Xiom blades. They actually deserve every single customer they get. It's BTY that drives me nuts. I can't stand it when the marketing drives the machine and that very marketing drives the cost of the product up HUGE rather than the product itself.

I will say the Xiom AMADEUS OFF- does look like an awfully tempting blade though.

The T2 and T8 that I have aren't of as high quality as a few bty blades that I have.

Galaxy blades offer excellent performance for the price your paying. The only thing I can see them improve on is the consistency of the handles. Some are thin and some are thick.

They play as well as any other $100 racket. That said, I've just seen my buddies K2 and my god its gorgeous :). Looks every bit as good as the Kong and the handle was excellent.

Law,

You haven't happened to have tried the Xiom AMADEUS OFF- have you? That looks like a fairly good value.

I have had a Galexy W-1 and an MC-1 for 2 weeks now. I like them both but the W-1 is my fav blade now. It is as nice as any blade I have ever had. I never had a blade that cost over $90 but this one just looks nice and the handle is the best I ever had also. It is larger with a bigger flare and makes it eaiser to twiddle. :D

Hey Law!

I was looking at the Power OFF+, and the Power OFF stats. I was suprised to see that they claim that there's more dwell time with OFF+ than the OFF. The Power OFF+ does look like it's an extremely fast blade with above average looping capability for an OFF+ carbon blade. I guess I would attribute that to the really thick outer plies. Have you given your final reviews of that blade?
