I don't know of very many high tack rubbers that smashers enjoy. Hmmm? So confusing!

Yes, it would appear that this marketing department is more excentric than most which most are quite excentric. Either that or there's some confusion in how to make a rubber sound attractive. I used to have a friend that claimed that he had a fastball that isn't and a curveball that doesn't. This rubber description is kinda reminding me of my friend.

"Aufschlagspezialisten'' means "serve-specialists".

I've had this rubber in 1,5mm. It is shiny and generates alot of spin on serves and pushes (compared to E/J-rubbers). It's softsponged, not bouncy and quite slow, easy to play but for attacking play a thicker sponge (and glue) is needed.

"Aufschlagspezialisten'' means "serve-specialists".

Makes sense

Got one sheet today . Very slightly tacky , very shiny and seems soft (is labelled 40 ) .Very grippy - long pips. I didn't play with it yet - the sponge is 2.4 mm.

I've heard that it's quite slow, but can load up the spin like no other. It'd probably be great for someone playing a mixed chopping/spin loop game in the same way as 999 Nat.

On the subject of rubbers being both shiny and tacky, my Reactor Tornado (in black) has a good amount of tack to the topsheet, but still is quite reflective. It's a bit more dull than something like a Japanese rubber, of course, but still shinier than most Chinese rubbers I've used.

I've been doing enquiries on this rubber for quite some time and have ordered it recently, will review when I get it and have had a hit with it.

From various sources (including the dutch shop 'vrocosport', where the description reads (translation by me): A very interesting allround rubber, with a lightly sticky, shiny surface that can produce a lot of spin. The soft sponge gives you a lot of feeling for the ball. This rubber is highly liked by service-specialists.)
It appears to me that meteor 813 is a traditional chinese high tack topsheet on a mushy soft sponge. The 813-W, would be the same topsheet on a slightly harder sponge. I believe I've read some thoughts on it by forum member 'Kees', I believe his sons even play with it. (may have been on a dutch forum)
Kees, where are you? We are in need!

I'm looking forward to receiving it and giving all of you some much needed info and stats on it!

That's correct !

Very soft but reactive enough (mine is 2.4 thickness) and NOT high tack. Very little tacky almost unnoticeable.

After several hits with the Meteor 813 :
- is an allround rubber good 4 anything but nothing special
- mine is 2.4 and soft sponge and topsheet ,so I don't care if the tackiness is gone - there is enough sponge to do whatever you want with it.
- not bouncy enough to match my oher side (Sword King ) - in fact is hard to find a match for King ,maybe an euro rubber
- like Kees said Meteor813 is great near table, but far from the table if you don't have a speedy blade ....
