I bought this Twister Max in Hong Kong a month ago and have decided to play it to see the difference against DHS Skyline 3 - 2.2. Unfortunately, I like twister's performance better than Skyline 3 so far.

This is how Prasidha wrote about this rubber.
"Has speed and spin just like wipe with speed-glued." Hardness with 39 degree, available with 1.8, 2.1 and Max sponge.

Compared with Skyline 3 - 2.2 , speed is about the same, but generates slightly more spins. Low throw angle with pretty good control. Best of all, I can chop with it, either from flat hit or looping drives. Short games are equally enjoyable. Chop block has no problem. Punching (one of my requirements for inverts) performed satisfactory.

Due to the speed-glue like properties, the edges of the rubber top sheet tend to break easily, see picture above. I don't know how long this rubber will last, for more than $20 a piece, compared to $12 I got for Skyline 3, I have to think hard.

Anyway, I have this on one of my R*1 blade and will continue to play alternatively with Skyline 3 on the other R*1 blade. In a month or so, I will find out which one belong on the R*1.

By the way, I did put one layer of EEII on before gluing, just like I did with Skyline 3.

Tat, is the Twister made in Japan? Do they still producing the Twister or it's on the way out? Because I've used Frankfurt, Osaka & Tokyo but didn't have the edge chipping problem. I got a tear/chip on the tokyo but because of hitting the table and it didn't spread. I didn't use the frankfurt long enough to know whether it's going to chip due to a lot of play. I play quite a bit with Osaka before and it didn't chip too. Tokyo last me a long time and now is about to be retired (still no edge problem).

rok, I don't know where it was manufactured. I looked all over the covering and the rubber inside out, there is no labeling suggesting where it was made.

Based on the fact that Long A was manufactured in Japan, this twister might as well be made in Japan too.

Maybe. I know Osaka & Tokyo are made in Japan. Not sure about Frankfurt, I'll check later tonight. Just wondering about the edge problem. Perhaps Twister really is an old line and they're just selling the left over stocks.. I dunno...

p.s. just checked the prasidha's website. it says the Twister has an absolutely sensitive playing surface. So i guess there's the reason for the edge problem like the older tensors...

How'd you manage to chip it near the handle Tat? If you like it can you get more? I think you can do better than this or Skyline surely. One of the new gen tensors would be better I'm sure. Have you tried any of them?

You might try Voroco Sports in the Netherlands. I personally have had good service from them in the past. I used to buy my 820A from them when it was still being made. It was the best anti-loop I had used to that point.

I don't think Prasidha have much of a range of equipment, and most (not all)) is old style equipment, and they're not cheap, which is probably why not many places carry it.
