Tonight a played about half an hour with Elite Nano on my Korbel's FH. Unfortunately I'm a bit dissappointed but it's a good rubber. I think my expectations were too much. It's fastish, spinny but nothing spectacular, soft, decent quality rubber. Spin is less than other tacky rubbers I have played. (H3, Tg2/3, Globe999 etc.) Actually spin seems to be tad better then Sriver EL which is glued to Korbel's Bh. I didn't speed glue or tune. Just sticked it with a water based glue. This rubber reminds me of Donic Gallardo Power Sound, with a bit more speed, durability and spin. Throw seems medium low and tack is little. I don't think tackiness ( since it's minimal) on this rubber helps add more spin. Top sheet's grippiness and soft sponge seems to create spin. Whatever, it's a decent soft rubber and as Haggisv wrote it loops really nice.

Once again, I played only about 1/2 hour so this preview can change a bit in time. I'll probably tune it with CTE and see how it performs that way.

I think that the 999 Elite topsheet just can't put out enough power. I had that problem with it on Ultima, and it seems that it tops out even with the Couga sponge. Now what I'd really love to try is the Globe N-In topsheet tensioned over the nano sponge. That would be a MONSTER!

Last night i put the 999 Elite Ultima on my FH and had around 3hours behind it playing multi ball.I had a chance to compare it next to each other with my Driva Smash Ultima, Nanocannon and TG3.
TG3(EEIIed)was the slowest, but spiniest of them.Heavier, but not much
Driva is the fastest of them. The lightest as well
999 Elite Ultima was very similar to my Nanocannon in speed. Throw is a bit higher, serve/push is spinier, chop is way easier. Loop drive was easier with the N’cannon(could be that I played with it for quite some time )
Opening against backspin was a breeze
Counter and counter loop is as steady as with the Driva.
In general, I am impressed by the consistency of the performance. The ball flies exactly where is expect to. Not that tacky as I thought. The extra speed of the Nano sponge will be most welcome. The softness-I don't know yet
For the moment I don't have a red BH one to couple it with the Elite Nano, so I'll postpone my impression for later. Any question about the 999 Elite Ultima are very welcome

Oh dear... :? It looks like the Juic Elite Nano 999 (J.E.N.999) and NanoCannon is taking a bit of a whipping! Makes me rethink against my potential J.E.N.999-Nanocannon combo and think more along the lines of Couga-Tibhar Torpedo, or a Torpedo double, for super power and spin. :cherry:

Wow, what have I done.Whipping.....? ('')
Nooo.... .I played for several months with Couga and I liked the speed, but I needed spin. Now I've gained more spin without sacrificing the speed. These rubbers(J.E.N999 and Nannocannon) are not slow.I never needed so much speed, since i always have been playing with very quick blades

In what order would you place the Juic Elite Nano 999, NanoCannon, Couga and Driva Smash Ultima in relation to relative speed and spin? And the other Juics if you've tried them!

OK.
I suppose the most spiny in general will be the 999 Elite, but....
Nanocannon is very spiny far from the table and consistent in the spin(since it is purely mechanical)Meanwhile I can't chop easily with it ..
The only (slightly)tacky one here is the 999 Elite, so one can push faster and more efficiently with it, the same for the slow looping.
Here the champion probably will be the Spinspiel Ultima(which i also have), but is not that fast
So, it's a difficult task to put them in strict order, but maybe something like this:
-999 Elite Nano
-Nanocannon
-Couga
-Driva Smash Ultima
This is my estimation in relation to relative spin and speed
BTW I forgot to mention, that all the Juic rubbers i have react very well on SpinMax and keep the effect for very long. They may change dramatically

Sorry about bringing this 2 year old topic but I have a question.

How fast is Juic 999 Elite Nano compared with Sriver, Mambo, Mark V etc?

Thanks in advance

I'm sure Speedplay would know, but what I know is that it's is same or tad faster than sriver and markV, with more tack/grip on the topsheet.

I always thought nanocannon was really special for the backhand, or the forehand- provided you high tossed served, or used the other side to serve and push. In the open, mid distance game it really has no equal.

Thanks speedplay and Rob!

I'll probably stay with the slower one though, as I always say;

"You can play fast with slow stuff but not slow with fast stuff"

(to a certain extent)

And one more question, is the tackiness on 999 Elite Nano super grippy (like BTY tackiness D and C) or proper chinese coating tacky (like GeospinTacky)?

Now I'm confused about sponge thicknesses. :?
Urrr.....(????)too thick = too fast, (????)too thin = too slow

I don't play mid-distance looper, just the 'standard' begginer position if you know what I mean. So I'm guessing 2,2 = too much.
