Skippy,

I see by your signature that you are now using the Dawei 2008 XP for FH. When you get a moment I wouldn't mind knowing your thoughts on how it plays, weight, what well known rubbers you can compare it to, and what it does and doesn't do well. Thanks in advance for your reply as I am considering this for my BH.

Thanks again for your info on the Higher, SP, and Aces. I spoke to Tom since then and he said the Aces is significantly lower in weight than the other choices and plays like a faster Geospin Tacky which I currently using and want to replace. So that will be my next tacky rubber purchase.

Aye, aces is suprisingly nice. Ok, my rundown of 2008 XP Super Power. When I got it it was cause Cole was selling it for $5 a piece. I thought it was worth a shot. Also this was the rubber that I would be expiramenting Speed Glueing, and EEII on. The topsheet is fine medium tacky nice medium high throw by my definition of throw, but alot of people see throw angles differently than I. I'm from the JKC school of throw angles. By the way as compared to other Chinese type rubbers the black side of this rubber looked suprisingly nice. Most of the Chinese type black rubbers kinda have a haze on it at first. This one didn't. The sponge is a bit low quality. It's probably a step below the Cannon sponge. Despite that I really enjoy playing this rubber, and am honestly playing the best table tennis I have ever played.

p.s. The Black side is noticably slower than the Red side.

Focus is the closest comparison of speed of these. The sponge is way harder, the topsheet is tackier. A bit slower than HP@, and Six Shooter. I gotta say this. It's well worth it if you are paying $5 a sheet. If you are being charged $15+ there are better options.
