Hi Guys,

I have been using a Mizutani Blade with Omega IV euro Rubbers for about a year or more. I recently am switching to TBS I am using a friends TBS right now with T05 FH and T05 fx BH. I am very much loving this setup.

However I bought the TBS but I wont buy T05 due to the cost. So I am looking for an alternative. I want the same med-high throw same speed as the T05, same Control, and Spin is very important to me, also the same feel.

Obviously I am aware that nothing will be the exact same just curious if anyone knows of a suitable alternative for rubbers.

thank you.

Thanks guys both replies are very much appreciated. Question: I have found it hard to have 2 different rubbers one for FH and one for BH. Why is it beneficial? is the backhand hit more flat or more over the top? Whats the reason if you could elaborate.

Thanks,

Well, it depends. If you are capable of "slow looping" on both wings then you might be worthy playing a robotic style. However if you have greater consistency in hitting on your backhand than looping, then short pips is the logical choice and will enchance your BH flat hit.

I Think that Tibhar Aurus might do the trick though it is a little slower, it har high throw angle and good spin.. it is a clear replicate of a Tenergy 05.
I have a friend who uses 2 x Aurus ob Stiga Enebholz V

personally i use the Tibhar Soft 2.1 on FH and BH and works quite well.
Tibhar is fantastic!! personally i prefer it over my butterfly bryce fx
Vega Europe is a nice spiny BH (controllable) and Omega IV pro or asia are excellent FH if you like a fast rubber on the FH. I think the Omega iv pro is spiny but others say that tenergy is spinier...
It does depend if you are a two wing looper or not. i am so i usually use the same rubber BH and FH
