Hi people!

I'm new to this forum and would like to hear what you think.
I used to play with a sriver rubber 2.0mm on bh and fh, but I thought I should try something new. I called a shop and said I'd like a spinny rubber with reasonable speed since I'm a fairly offensive player and I'd like to get a lot of spin on my services and my loops. The shop owner recommended Tulpe 007 soft 2.0mm.
I used it for the first time yesterday and I didn't get the impression that it was spinnier than my old sriver. I'm not going to give up this early, but my first impression was a bit disappointing. is anyone using this rubber? What do you think about it?

I have the Tulpe Tokyo 2.2 38 degree (Unglued). I feel it loops way spinnier than Sriver FX and is also faster. Mind you, that is Sriver FX unglued. That rubber becomes a monster with a heavy glue job.

Thanks for your answers.
I'm sure you're right, I need to be patient. It's just that it didn't feel that spinny, but let's hope it will change.

All depends on the situation ...

Today I gave special attention to my daughter's Sriver L (1.9 mm) and I was very surprised about the spin and the "kick" of that rubber. Simply awesome !
Sriver is unleashing the spin when the ball is deep on the sponge , especially when looping or counterlooping . Even when serving if the toss is high enough (so the ball can sink in the sponge) it is possible to generate great mechanical spin.
Indeed over the table a tacky rubber has more gears , but when looping Sriver (in my case L version) shines !

I glued yesterday with Rapid Clean . When is fresh glued the Sriver is very ,very bouncy . Even today was more bouncy and alive on H.S. Swift than Inspirit Quattro on W6.

Today I used my Tulpe 007 soft for the third time and it felt somewhat better.
However, I still feel that my serves aren't as spinny as they were with my old sriver, nor are my loops. I know it's still very early days, but will the rubber change character after having played with it a few times, or what do you think? I clearly said that to the man selling the rubbers that I'd previously had a sriver and I wanted an equally-at the least- spinny rubber.
Someone at my club today said that Tulpe 007 was mainly a beginner's rubber. Have I been fooled?

The person who told you that doesn't know what he is talking about and is probably assuming that because of the price and because Sriver is much more fashionable. The sheet of 007 that I had was a very spinny rubber which did everything well and for a time I thought it might eclipse my Transcend SP.
It is probably about how you hit the ball. If you hit the ball harder and get the ball into the sponge more Sriver may give more spin but if you brush the ball keeping it more on the surface, you should get more from the 007. If you are getting more spin from the Sriver, you would probably be more suited to something like Inspirit or the Quattro version.

I agree! You can just feel that surface of the 007 has more grip than the surface of a sriver...which makes getting very good spin quite easy for most... try and get heavy spin with sriver on a soft push/chop...hard since you need to dig the ball further into the rubber to get the grip.... now try it with the 007...

Saying that the 007 is a beginners rubber is rubbish...

Comforting to hear.
Well he didn't seem all that sure, when he saw that I was surprised.
I'll keep practising with my new rubber and see how things work out.
