Hey guys im currently playing with Tenergy 64 1.9 but the rubber is coming to its end. Suggestions on cheap Chinese alternatives is welcomed im a modern defender and loop form long distance with the rubber with some occasional FH Chop,Ive used tacky rubbers before and love them but ive never found one with good qualities from mid to long distance. Thanks

Chinese factory tuned rubbers, Beijing 4, are certainly an option... keep in mind thought that they will slow down after the tuning effect wear off, which bothers some people but others seem to have no problems with that.

The latest KTL Red Diamond is not a bad option either... not sure if this is tuned.

As far as other CHinese rubbers are concerned, to get the power away from the table you'll need a firmer sponge, as most Chinese sponges are just not lively enough. to give power with soft sponges.

TG3 blue sponge? I hated that one when I was quite some distance from the table. The lack of a high arc makes it really strange to find your distance. H3 was much better at that position.

Thors plays well long range, it isn't Chinese or cheap. Beijing 4 is likely too soft for most people that are strong enough players to play from long range.

The new KTL Red Diamond is also fairly soft (ok maybe medium) but a really good rubber. I've been through this whole problem about looking for a long range rubber only to finally figure out it's all in the blade, with a good blade designed for long range play any hard Chinese rubber will make the full distance in a typical 9-10 meter playing area, even a $5 sheet of three nine (999) 8)

I found Thors weakest point long distance counter looping...maybe one of the worst at that stroke imo.

Have you tried LKT Rapid Speed? I plays relatively soft (guess 40-42degrees), generates nice spin and has good enough speed to play from distance as well. You may have to go to a 2.2 sponge for a speed similar to T64 and it will not be as dynamic but it plays more linear. You can get a sheet for $14, which for me is one of the best rubbers you can buy for that price.

DHS Hurricane 3 Neo is a fantastic long distance looping rubber. Made in China, sells for $22.00 US. It is so popular that I have recently seen 2 distributors who don't carry DHS start carrying this model!

Hey guys thanks for all the suggestions, Im between H3 Neo and Tuttle Beijing 4, just doing a little more reasarch on which will perform better on FH chop from mid to long distance too, I saw Boggeyhunters video with Tuttle Beijing 4 chopping and it looks that chopping with the Beijing is solid, so if you guys have any feedback on chopping with this rubbers is appreciated

I like the Palio Thor's from mid to long range. It's super spinny and with a lot of speed thanks to the hard sponge. It might take a couple of weeks to get used to the control, but after that I felt like I've had very good control with it. It blocks surprisingly well.

I have H3 ("old sponge", not Neo) and find that it's OK for chopping (not optimal, but I can chop fairly consistently when I need to).
A friend has H3-Neo, and when I try to chop with it I find it's too lively.

Blades are different:
  • Mine, with "regular" H3, is Yasaka Synergy. It has a factory speed rating of 18/20 which would be around OFF I guess (perhaps OFF+, though it's noticeably slower than my Galaxy blades T-2 and T-11). As mentioned, bat is OK for chopping.
  • My friend's, a 729/Friendship C-3, is rated ALL to ALL++ in web shops, so it should be a little slower. The H3-Neo still feels livelier, and it is harder to chop well with that bat. I can still hit the table fairly consistently, but can't manage to keep the ball low enough.
It may be a matter of adjustment (I haven't played a lot with that C-3, just a brief run through). It could also be that the torsional rigidity of the Yasaka makes a difference (more consistent strokes).

Hi chop king

I'm looking for the same beast. Last week i tried the neo tg2. Great for chopping. Low throw though. I've ordered a H3 neo. I hope it chops as well with a higher throw.

H3 Neo is low throw compared to most inverted.
