Hi
I have been playing with roxon 450, Max fh and 2.0 on bh, but I want to try tenergy 05.
Are these rubbers fairly similar? What are the differences?
Will it be difficult to go from 450 to 05.
Kind regards
Nille

I haven't played with Andro Roxon 450 but looking at the specs the differences compared with a T05 are quite significant. A TT buddy of mine changed from Coppa X2 to a high throw M3 on the FH and didn't get on too well with it. He has now ordered the new Calibra Tour M & S ( the Tour M is a replacement to the excellent Calibra LT).

If you did decide to chance getting a sheet of T05 I would suggest getting it in a sensible 1.9 thickness and sticking it on the FH and opting for Red which little lighter than Black. Not to mention having a personal preference for Red on the FH in T05.

Generally if you selecting a rubber it's wise to match it with certain blades but surprisingly the T05 goes on most blades. There are a lot of other rubbers that you can consider besides T05 which are cheaper. I haven't used some of these but the likes of the following would interest me - Nittaku FastArc S1 (good throw, light, fast, Average spin €26), Addidas P7 (Spin machine, high throw, lacks speed ? €33), T05FX (mixed reports some loving it €41), T80 (supposed to be a do everything rubber but I found it a bit dull), T64 (versatile and tends to settle on the BH), Evolution MX-P (Medium soft, new generation, bit heavy), Andro Rasant (supposed to be a great all rounder), Yasaka Rakza & Yasaka Soft....have to stop somewhere.

To answer your question - it will depend if you are able to adapt your game to the high throw nature of the T05. Looking at the above list if you were looking for a Tenergy the 64 could be a good starting point.
