I agree with iskandar taib, this is very good inexpensive rubber, but it is VERY heavy!!

I have seen guys use the 1.5mm because it still very grippy but it is lighter.

The plot thickens! When you look at Silver's Rubber Mass Database:

http://www.choices-guide.com/silver/

and look up 2008SPXP, you find:

Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 0 2.2 blk 59 0.20536
Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 45 2.0 blk 65.4 0.227637
Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 45 2.0 blk 63.8 0.223389
Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 45 2.0 blk 63.3 0.222966
Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 45 2.0 blk 65.5 0.229334
Dawei Super Power 2008 XP 45 2.0 blk 65 0.227583

NONE of the sheets weighs anything NEAR 77 grams! Note, though, they're all black, they're all (except for one) 45 degrees, they're all (except for one) 2.0mm. Mine is 2.1mm, 40 degrees and red.

What does everyone else here use? What degrees, and do you use red or black? I might get myself a sheet of black just to see what it weighs (sigh). 45 degrees is too hard for me, though..

a clubmate of mine got the 2008 XPs on a colesTT combo in 2.0mm on 5-ply wood air originals blade, and while he felt like it started out good (esp for the price) the topsheet quickly became and dead, no longer producing much spin at all. it had already arrived looking 'foggy', which is to say that it looked like there were white stains/marks in splashes and lines on the topsheet (especially visible on the black side) but at first it seemed like a good rubber. perhaps the transportation caused that? it came from the US and shipped all the way to eastern europe, so the cold or something may be the cause too.
