Got a response back from saletabletennis so they're alive and kicking.
Out of stock of that custom rubber with the tenergy ? sponge.
Didn't answer the question I asked but they stated that it was limited and they're not re-stocking it.
They had another rubber - a 1Q XD at a good price which they will be getting back in stock. Coach in my club had originally ordered this and he commented that it's supposedly a hurricane on steroids. It was reviewed on another forum and it was raved about but it ended up on their BH.

Turns out the Xu Xin rubber is now available as the new Hurricane 3-50.

Noticed that the Custom DHS rubber is no longer listed on saletabletennis.
Also I doubt that the sponge of the 3-50 is of the same quality as the Tenergy sponge and just simply a tin arc sponge.

sorry for reanimating this old thread.

But can someone explain me why the Skylines are more recommendet for penholders than the Hurricanes??

What I learndes so far:
H3 is more designed to loopkill
TG2 is more designed for more control & spin
TG3 is more designed for speed

But all in all, the differences don't seem so huge, is that the fact?

Yes,

The difference of them is minutes. Far less difference than between Tenergies. ;)

In my database, they belong to the same group, Chopper and Looper rubber. ;)

Although it doesn't answer your question directly, you may find our recent DHS Skyline rubber review helpful. Our equipment tester draws comparisons between Skyline, Hurricane 3 and Hurricane 8 series. Link: http://blog.tabletennis11.com/dhs-skyli ... -60-review
