Got this from the Yasaka website, which I did not know, and thought to be quite informative:

Quote:
4 different Rakza rubbers:

The range consists of 3 different rubbers – all with their own unique playing characteristics:

Rakza X – for maximum grip

Rakza 9 – for maximum speed

Rakza 7 – for maximum spin

Rakza 7 Soft – for maximum feeling

I always thought the Rakza 7 was the spinniest, and this confirms it. Not sure how the Rakza X can be the grippiest but not the spinniest.. much have different pip structure.

Thank you for sharing. I tried R7 and R9. I thought they were very, very similar, but maybe did not use R9 long enough.

The R9 felt softer, faster and less spinny to me. I much prefer the R7, spinnier and fast enough.

More to the point - what do they MEAN when they say "maximum grip"?

Hard to say, R7 is more spinny, RX is harder and not bouncy. RX was not great for my loops or for my serves.

I was quite happy with R7 last season, but with new ball it seem to slip too much. And after I have played with T05, slipping of T7 seems to be worse, althought the sheet is old.
