The new mercury is very very hard to play with compare to the old ones, did they changed it or there is some bad batches?

There are 3 hardness versions for Mercury now as well as for most other Yinhe rubbers - soft (corresponding to older 33, 34, 35 degrees markings on Yinhe scale), medium (36, 37, 38), and hard (39, 40, 41) ;)
Are you sure you're using the same hardness?

Mind you.. all the Mercury I find these days is called "Mercury II". Is the "old Mercury" you are talking about also "Mercury II" or the older "Mercury (I?)"? It's gone from the catalog, even, if that's what you're looking for.

For a slower Yinhe rubber with a lot of control I suggest 9000. There's a 9000D and a 9000E, I don't know what the difference is. It's plenty cheap, I love it on the backhand.
