Does anybody have suggestions for suitable rubber for this style of player.

1. Uses a lot of spin on service.
2. Blocks or hits any topspin from an opponent.
3. Pushes almost all chop or pushes from an opponent.
4. Pretty consistent backhand but variable forehand when hitting and not a great deal of power.

I currently am using Geospin Tacky which I like but recently have also used Sun MaxTense which I find easier to hit with on the forehand but inferior to Geospin Tacky for me in all other respects.

Pretty much any decently made, non-specialist rubber, from any well-regarded manufacturer. The rest is technique and practice.

The mechanics of blocking or hitting a topspin, or pushing a chop or a push are well understood. Once you've developed the skills to carry out those shots with optimal technique, any minor corrections which might be needed on one or more strokes owing to the peculiarities of a certain rubber / sponge combination can easily be accommodated by your brain.

If you're using Geospin Tacky, I'd continue doing so. It's a very fine rubber. I don't know anything about Sun MaxTense. It's probably fine. You could use that instead if you like. What is much more important is to get yourself a way to record yourself playing these strokes - just 30 seconds is enough. Post the video, get feedback from experienced players and coaches, and make adjustments. Keep working at it over a number of months until you've developed your technique.

Good luck!

You sound exactly like me a year or so ago before I improved a bit. The advice to me at that time was to just get a fairly neutral rubber in 1.8mm or 2.0mm. Something like a Yasaka Mark V or Nittaku Magic Carbon if you want European or a 729 FX, LKT Pro XP/XT if you want chinese. It also depends on what you want to spend. In the end I went with the Magic carbon. It didn't improve me but allowed me to improve with it, the others will do the same.

One thing to be careful of is the spin factor. Something that generally creates more spin also is affected more by incoming spin. Ideally you would be working on trying to topspin at the least the weak chops/pushes and the problem with a really tacky or spinny rubber is that your pushes can be building up the spin that is hard to get out of a pushing rally.

I think you'd find that any of the abovementioned rubbers, along with 100 others would have enough spin on them for your serves.
