How does this one compare to the Palio Blitz?

Although I think it's an ESN-made rubber, I don't think it's a Tensor, so it's not going to have the glue-feel of the Blitz. I've not tired it, but I know we sold some to a Melbourne club, and they immediately ordered more (and cleaned out our stock) because some players really liked it. I don't know more details, and obviously the cheaper price tag is an attraction too.
WOuld be great to hear from someone who has tried it.

I have not played blitz, but I own MUSA III. It's like a newer version of Mark V. Very controlled, not too fast, not bouncy low throw, very non-descript. Perfect for a beginner, good for a defender I imagine, in a thinner sponge, but I've only played with it in Max and felt it wasn't great for chopping in that thickness.

Blocks like the dickens.

And yes haggisv, definitely not a tensor! More of a classic rubber.

Never tried the original. Only $19 USD here in the states.

Got one and played a little. Not a tenser but did have that hyper elasto sign as shown on Omega V. Compare to Blitz, definitely lower throw, spin and speed are good enough for me, flip is really easy, block is better than Blitz, I play it on BH, and away from the table counter loop is really nice. Compare to Omega V, lower throw, just tiny little less power. OK, out of context, Omega V is really nice, my only complain is serve a little bit not as spin as Mercury. Oh, both rubbers kind of hard to push, yet again I do not play much push.

It's got the BIOS symbol but not the Tensor symbol, so it's a "4th Generation Non-Tensor". Not sure why they named it MUSA (but it's the generic name for bananas, so it makes me think of those Minions... )

I like this one better than the omega V, because it's more lively and spinner, just a none noticeable slower

It doesn't have a 'glue effect' feel though, does it?

Not a banana, a person. TT player to be specific. Where is NextLevel when you need him? ;)

Yeah, I knew that.. Or suspected it (does Xiom name other rubbers after people?). He was pretty prominent at American tournaments in the late 1990s, IIRC. Lived in New York.

But it is also true the name of the rubber reminds me of bananas.

Hmm...I can't imagine describing it as "Lively." It's fast enough, and spinny enough, but certainly less than a tensor. Granted, i haven't tried the Omega V rubbers just yet, but I play with Vega and Omega IV Asia and I can say that it's anything but livelier than those rubbers. In fact, the reason I ordered it was specifically because I wanted a slower less lively version of the Omega IV Asia. Compared to Omega IV and Vega, definitely less spin and less speed. But I definitely liked it, I just felt it wasn't great for chopping in Max thickness, which was the only thickness I could get it in at the time.

They probably took the MUSA and applied the sticky film treatment to it to make it tacky..
