Hi all,

Can anyone give a quick review of these Yinhe rubbers?

Mars II
Mercury II
Neptune
Pluto
Uranus Poly

I was thinking of trying one of these to replace my H3Neo which is over a year old.

Haven't tried these myself, but here are some existing threads:
Mars (not Mars II), but here it is anyway: viewtopic.php?t=4691
Mercury II: ?
Neptune: viewtopic.php?t=623, viewtopic.php?t=1989, viewtopic.php?t=82
Pluto: ?
Uranus (not poly, but should give a rough idea): viewtopic.php?f=13&t=663

Also, here are the ttdb links:
Mars II: http://www.tabletennisdb.com/rubber/yin ... rs-v2.html
Mercury II: http://www.tabletennisdb.com/rubber/yin ... ry-ii.html
Neptune: http://www.tabletennisdb.com/pips/galaxy-neptune.html
Pluto: http://www.tabletennisdb.com/pips/galaxy-pluto.html
Uranus poly: http://www.tabletennisdb.com/pips/galax ... -poly.html

Hopefully those links will be a bit of help.

Neptune is LP, pretty sure Pluto is sp.

If used Mercury ii and it's a pretty standard Chinese rubber. cheap too.

I'm still staying away from the pips....
The reviews didn't particularly make me more curious though.
I might still try and use mercury or mars for a backup bat.
Thanks guys.

Happy to help! Before I switched to H3, I used Yinhe 9000 3 star - it was really fast, and really spiny. Even after a year it's easy to control. Only $10! It's been discontinued, though I think you can still find a few if you look around.

I wouldn't call 9000 fast - in fact, it's advertised as being "slow" and controllable. Yet, it's my favorite backhand rubber. It's definitely fast ENOUGH. I can hit pretty hard with it. $10?? You must've missed the sale they had on Eacheng - there were sheets that I think came off Yinhe's premade bat assembly line that were not rectangular, vacuum packed two sheets to a pack and sold for $10 a pack.. You can still get it for about $7 a sheet from Eacheng on ebay, if you buy 4 sheets.

H3's supposed to be pretty slow, too - some people say it's useless unless it's boosted, some say it's a great chopping rubber without boosting. Note that I said "people say" - peruse the many threads about H3 on this forum, and you'll find a great many people expressing these very opinions... (I currently use H3 on both sides... yes, boosted, but I don't think it's too slow even when unboosted).

To be honest I detect very little difference between the many Chinese sheets. There were a few I didn't like for some reason, including Mars II. Venus turned out to be way too heavy (over 70 grams a sheet uncut). With a few exceptions (999T!) they all play about the same, even if they may feel slightly faster or slower.

Oh here - $6 a sheet!

999T is quite slow (a number of people have posted the same thing). But it does have an interesting property - it works when it's towel-wringing humid, when other rubbers lose all their friction. This applies to the "999 Corp" rubbers as well as the Globe items (they resemble each other). By the way, 999 Corp. OEMs for a number of others (mainly very minor brands, such as WinMax Double Power.

Reactor Ckylin's even slower, by the way... Chinese Blue Fire my foot...
