I like everything about Xiom Omega IV Elite except its short lifespan (the sponge seems to break down in the sweet spot after 1-2 months). Does anyone know of a similar inverted rubber?

I bought a sheet of Omega IV Elite (based on your recommendation, in fact!) and paired it with a Victas V>15 Limber on BH.

Now, it's very possible that I didn't use them for long enough or that I'm too insensitive to differences between rubbers, but to me they felt very very similar. The Elite may have had a fraction more kick but I might have imagined it. Both have 40 degree sponge. Ultimately they didn't suit my current preferences. The V>15 Limber weighed 10g more for an uncut 2.0mm than the OIV Elite. Maybe that would confer more durability?

I'm assuming the whole omega IV range would be a tad similar? Will try both Asia and pro soon next month. So will try to update when I've tried it.

You better talk to someone about that. Elite sponge is very soft. I don't think those others are soft.

The only rubber that I have used that is very close to Elite is Donic Coppa X1 Turbo. I use Xiom Sigma Pro 2 and it is nothing like Elite.

The Elite and Donic Turbo top sheets are similar as to tackiness while Sigma Pro 2 is more tacky than them.

So do u have any take on pairing omega IV pro and Asia as fh and bg on a blade like viscaria?

This is an ESN Tensor, right? The bad news is that most of the rubbers that resemble it are also ESN Tensors. They're all supposed to wear out after the boosting dies off in a month. Luckily there is a way to rejuvenate the things, but it isn't exactly legal.

The tensor is gone on duration of play right? like the more often u play with it the faster it loses the tensor properties? if u just leave it in the bag it oesnt wear off as much?

Not sure if it depends on how much you use it, and I have limited experience with Tensors in general, but others have posted here and elsewhere that Tensors (and Tenergy) "go dead" after a month or two. Apparently the treatment that gives these rubbers the "speed glue feeling" wears off after a short time. The fix is to apply a similar treatment that restores the effect.. but this is apparently frowned upon as illegal (which it is, technically) and "cheating".
