If you dont mind Japanese anime with sub-titles, I would recommend watching in the original Japanese.

The difference in voice-acting / expressions from the English vs Japanese is like Night-and-Day!

It is like watching DBZ in Japanese and then watching it in English

Kakarotto is supposed to be a mischievous monkey kiddie character's voice in the Japanese ... but the English version went with a Butch macho voice

I wonder if anyone has given Nittaku's H3 Pro Turbo a try? It's yet another Chinese tensor similar to the YRD. It's a H3 topsheet on a "tensor-like" sponge.

I am extensively testing it at the moment. Based on what I read here about the YRD, the two are probably very very similar.

Interesting!
Do you have another thread where you review it that you could link us to? Or perhaps share a bit with us here of your testing?

There was an opportunity to get the H3 Pro Turbo Orange at a discounted price so now I have it along with Fastarc G1. I also caved and bought a Nittaku Acoustic.

First up: YSD & R7 on the BH. Then I’ll switch to the Nittaku set up.

Interesting times!

Oh, I always watch anime in Japanese. Completely agree. It's a night and day difference!

I've mainly been playing the Yasaka Rakza series the last few years (9, then X, now 7). How does Rising Dragon compare to that?

I would say slightly tackier and with a bit lower throw angle.
I think it also has more spin. Speed, I’m not sure, the same or slightly slower.

YRD --> slightly tacky when brand new out of packaging. A LOT more GRIPPY ( Euro style rubber ) and is a very good transition for players wanting to try out and go "Chinese". It doesn't have any "catapult". Not as fast as Rakza7, X or 9 ( I rate Rakza9 as fastest, RX as fast but grippier R9 but no durability ).

If you liked YRD, then switching to YSD after feels almost natural.

If you enjoy lots of control and good spin, no catapult, medium throw, keep using YRD.

If you start wanting to hit harder and harder and flatter loops, less blocking, more loop-kills, more deep pushes, YSD might pull up your game more .... but you got to have developed muscles to play, less mistakes.

YRD --> control , spin, block. Hybrid rubber. no catapult or high throw.

YSD --> power, cut/push, heavy-loops, spin, flick. Chinese rubber. low throw, faster than YRD, less margin for errors.

Sounds good, I might try a sheet. I tried China rubbers before but the transition was too extreme. Sounds like this is a good in between option..

However....

This rubber needs gets a serious pat on the back.

I've played extensively with H3 (boosted) and when my stock runs out I play with Tenergy 05 until I can find more.

I understand these are two totally different rubbers but just giving out some background info.

I have tried every "tacky tensor" that had been released so far because frankly I just get sick of the boosting process and redoing it every 2 weeks and having to time the best boosting period for when you have a tournament and your rubbers die too fast and it makes a mess blah blah blah blah....

Palio Thor's was weird. Sponge and top sheet didn't have a good synergy.

Xiom tau is way to hard even for a Chinese tacky.

And then there is Yasaka Rising Dragon....

Feels like a perfectly boosted 39 deg h3, no boosts required.

I mean there is small marginal differences such as every so slightly less tack, but the tack fades on h3 when you boost it anyway and I didn't have to adjust my strokes in anyway.

I'm not going to comment on spin on speed or anything because those are so subjective to play style it makes almost no sense to do so.

Fantastic rubber. Professional quality.

I would recommend.

Circa 2018.. This is not the rubber you need for the polyball.. The performance is average..i would say there are better premade rackets out there..Its why nobody of any importance uses it at any level..THE KEY to domination with the polyball is Chinese full stroke technique with Euro rubbers. Its difficult to achieve a balance but then Ping pong aint easy.. U got to put in the sweat and blood..

every two weeks, u boost with falco long tempo? and boosting every two weeks and how long does your h3 rubber lasts that way? 3 months 6?
