I was actually looking into this since it is ttpioneers.com's daily special marked at $33. Very tempting but i think ill try the regular markV first (currently looking for a bh rubber)

If it's like a glued up Mark V 30deg it will be quite popular I think...

I had the Soft version for a couple weeks. It's definitely not like a glued up Mark V 30. It's fast, same or similiar topsheet grip as Mark V. However the "click" is not always there. So I can say the glue effect is not as good as the popular new gen rubbers. Slower strokes had better spin, probably because the topsheet is as grippy the original Mark V. However when the speed increased, things were getting inconsistent. It made me think that the sponge does contribute as it should. Anyway, I couldn't get used to it. Actually it's a bit faster than I like, say, faster than T05.

I was also looking at it for my BH. But if it is faster, then it is not what im looking for. I wonder how the regular version would play compared to the softer version(i find soft rubbers hard to control compared to harder rubbers). Maybe less catapult effect?

You know that is the dilemma I have always had as a penholder who does not do rpb. Do I use a rubber that is rated great for backhand or do I use the best forehand rubber out there? I was actually thinking of getting HPS Soft for a 1-ply blade thinking it's soft sponge would go well with it. The soft version that is. But if people say it is even faster than Tenergy that might not be such a good idea. Might be a better idea to go with Sriver EL instead. But I am tempted by the rubber because I prefer traditional rubbers over Tensors.
