Found this on TTNPP

http://ttnpp.com/store/hrt/575-hrt-huar ... gon-6.html

Says : -HRT WUJILONG (Dragon)- Clone Haifu Whale III-Red rubber with red sponge, Black rubber purple spongeVacuum packed, - Tuned in Factory (With Permanent Tuned Label) - With Speed Glued Effect Built-In - All pass new ITTF VOC test- A very Fast and Sticky

Interesting they would clone this, is it that popular in China? I'd be reluctant to try a rubber clone but then again maybe they just keep the machine running in the OEM factory and just put a different stamp like the Tibhar Grip S / Whale 2.

Not sure what the "Wuji" stands for but "Long" does mean dragon. Only $13, maybe I'll get a sheet if/when it appears on Eacheng/AliExpress (will go have a look). Don't know how much Whale people use, but aside from the Tibhar incarnation I don't recall seeing it on that table of rubbers all the top pros use. Maybe it's more popular at the provincial/municipal/amateur level. Supposedly a lot of those "blem" sheets get bought by clubs for training use, but you can't run a business if you make most of your money selling blems (unless they're someone else's blems).

It seems that the only one available at ttnpp is Wujilong II/R2, at $16+-.

At Eacheng/Ali you'll get both at +-$15

Interesting. Yup, it seems there are two different ones. The "II" is cheaper:

Doesn't seem to be vacuum packed.

(Doesn't mention Whale anywhere, as you'd expect, but it is based on the "pervious" generation of rubber. )

The "original" is vacuum packed and "tuned" (not "tunned" ). It'll cost you a few dollars more.

Interestingly enough, HRT and Haifu are listed together on the GH Sports store.

This does seem to be HRT's only rubber offering, too. No idea if it's new, might've been there all this while.

By the way, Whale III seems pretty expensive (as is Shark III). More than some Tensors. Wonder who uses it among the pros. If R is a true clone of Whale III it's a bargain at the price, even though it's relatively expensive for a Chinese sheet. I wonder if it has the same undesirable trait Whale does - huge weight.
