So, I've been using heavy setup for a year (Clipper 97g+2*Moon Speed max) and I've harmed my arm. Now I decided to return to def setup (shiono def 76g+marder2 1.8+neptune 0.7).
After 2 weeks of playing with new setup I've fount that marder2 is too slow and lacks some attacking abilities. And I've replaced it with xiom vega japan max. My bat became heavier, attacks more aggressive but I don't like how vega japan plays on shiono def. Next rubber I wan to try - xiom vega europe (due to it's softness and lighter weight). So now I need an advice: any suggestions, what should I try as a light soft forehand tensor on a light def blade?
Thanks in advance.

PS: I almost do not chop with forehand. Loop or lob.

Yes that's a good one to try, and is certainly light and considerably faster than the Marder2.

What kind of throw-angle compared between Vega Europe, Vega Japan and Marder2 ? I thought Vega Euro is pretty mid-high throw, and that might be really good for sudden FH attacks, loops.

Not sure as I am CPH two-wing looper :-D And when I tried Xiom Vega Euro it felt very very controlled, good high arc and good amount of speed. But not insane on any of the effects.

Any quick comparisons please ?
Spin <> Speed <> Control <> Throw-angle <> Weight <> Hardness/sponge <> Grip ?
XVJ <> XVE <> Marder2 ?

I just realised there are too many values to compare against :P :@ sorry :P

Spin: marder2<xve=xvj
Speed: marder2<xve<xvj
Control: marder2>xve>xvj
Throw: marder2<xvj=xve
Weight: marder2<xve<xvj
Hardness: marder2<xve<xvj
Grip: marder2=xve=xvj

But...marder2 is not a tensor, so I dont think it is correct to compare itwith tensors.

So, I've tried 05 max on shiono def this night. Good feel, spin but sporadic fast. And, for sure, expensive...

Is that from personal experience, or did you get it from a database?

Personal one.
All three rubbers were tested on clipper cr.
Note: it's just my opinion.
