A question for the learned members ...

I recently changed my forehand rubber to DHS Neo Skyline 2, the first time I've used a hard(ish) tacky Chinese rubber. Up to now I've used Donic Bioclean (VOC free) to clean other European style grippy rubbers like Acuda, Vario Big Slam and Palio Hidden Dragon (non-tacky) and it's worked just fine.

My question is, should I use this to clean the Skyline or will it remove the tackiness? Again and again I read that users of tacky rubbers just clean with a little water and dry - is that just to save money or is it genuinely the best way to clean these kind of rubbers?

Just with water and a little sponge.
U have 2 clean them a lot because of the dust they attract. I clean them every 2 games.
If u clean every time with cleaner its not good for the rubber.

I use also a rubber protection sheet after I played and cleaned the rubber.

Good luck!

Just a little water and a solid (ie not very porous, soft) sponge. Waif for the rubbervto dry, then apply rubber protectors to protect the rubber from the air and dust.

Some rubber cleaners especially the foam-based ones like the Butterfly cleaner seem to destroy the tack on the Chinese rubbers. But the oil-based ones like Revolution Rubber rejuvenator etc seem to restore tackiness in Chinese tacky rubbers.

So theres only one tried and tested way to not ruin the rubber and that is just plain water.
