I prefer the feel of wood, and for the carbon blades that I do use, I look for a 'wood feel'. ;)

Yeah, Carbon with wood feeling.

Getting old, Carbon blade tend to be lighter, not too hurt on wrist.

Wood feeling = feel on the ball

Being a defender, wood as it generally has more control.

I don't think think that's true... it's probably true for sports like tennis, where the carbon fiber replaces a heavier materials, but for table tennis that's not the case, and the blade can be heavier or lighter.

Not to be a prude, but what is a question about wood/carbon blades in the inverted rubber section ?

To answer your question, I don't get to practice 20-30 hours a week so I do not have one of them fancy smancy carbon blades. All wood does the trick for me this fella.
