I'm currently using Narucross EX Soft and 729 804 on a Timo Boll ALL blade. The narucross is getting pretty battle-scarred, so I need a replacement. I need a tensor rubber with a medium/hard sponge that serves, loops, and smashes well, while not being too effected by incoming spin. Tenergy is too expensive. Help?

There are DOZENS that fit that description... Any other preferences? Green sponge maybe? I'd be inclined to see what's cheapest. Consider that these things are all made in the same factory by the same company. I'm wondering if there are ANY medium-hard sponged tensors that DON'T serve, spin and smash well. The part about not being affected by incoming spin, well, anyone know of any that are not??? It might be a matter of degree but that's hardly something that sticky inverted sheets are known for.. that's what the anti is for.

No, I'd say pretty much all Tensors qualify to a great degree. I suppose the biggest choice to make would be sponge hardness. If I were seriously looking for a rubber to buy I would look at sponge hardness first, and make a list of all the Tensors with the same sponge hardness, then I would choose the cheapest one.

Yes, many of the modern Tensors would suit. You could look at some of the Tenergy alternatives. A few that come to mind are Bluestorm Z2, Tibhar Evolution EL-P, both are very spinny, loop very well. They're probably not idea for smashing, the softer rubbers tend to be better at that. Something like FX-P.

I know of no rubber that would compliment antispin. Now a rubber that would complement antispin ... I assume that you want a rubber that will be very spinny to maximise the difference between them. At the same time you want something that is not too effected by incoming spin. Assuming (I am using that word again) that you mean affected, there is no such animal. As I like to say to people, if your rubber can impart spin, then it can be affected by spin, in other words live by the sword, die by the sword. Tibhar EL P?
