Currently I'm using Evolution MX-P on my forehand and I love it for smashes, chop smashes, powerloops, flicks, flat hits, aggressive chops and pushes, and blocks that are lightning fast. However, I find the rubber a bit too fast for me to be consistent (I sometimes overshoot the table or it goes into the net), and would like to "downgrade" the speed a few notches. I am considering Vega Pro because it is suppose to play like a slower version of tenergy (but nothing's like tenergy I know). I'm using it on a photino light because of its great feel and I can hit insanely hard or very soft. Do you think it would work well with my blade? I desire a bit more control with less speed.

I only use 2.0 or higher sponges. Plus it would probably still be too fast.

Vega pro is very much an older pre plastic ball rubber but is good value.

The new Aurus Prime may be an option as it is supposed to be a slightly slower and more controlled than MXP which is designed for max speed.

Have a look at this video review were they also compare Aurus Prime and Select to MXP

I checked it out, and it is what I'm looking for. Thanks.
