a clubmate of mine got these on a colesTT.com combo in 2.0mm on a 5-ply wood air originals blade (this one i think: https://revspin.net/blade/air-touch01-all-wood-ver.html. and while he felt like it started out good (especially considering the price) the topsheet quickly seem to turn dead, no longer producing much spin at all. this surprised me since this is a well-reviewed rubber online. it had already arrived looking stained or 'foggy' on the topsheet, which is to say that it looked like there were noticeable white stains/marks in splashes and lines on the topsheet (especially visible on the black side) which at least at first did not seem to make it bad performance-wise. now it's far from as spinny as it once was and feels kinda dead. anyone have a similar experience or know what might be going on?

Might've been an old sheet.

yep, and more than once. he has also been using the sticky protective film after every seshion before storing the racket away.

if nothing else works, which would be unfortunate, he will simply remove the rubbers and put something else on the blade (the dawei R2, which he is happy with).
