Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I've only been playing for about a year and a half. I've tried a few different styles of rubbers, and the one I like most is very tacky Chinese rubbers. I'm currently using the Battle II on a Stiga Allround Classic Carbon and I love how the setup gives me as much as I put into the shot. So here are my quetions:

What are everyone's favorite tacky rubbers?

What is it about my setup that makes my slow shots slow and fast shots fast?

Is there any rubber you would recommend with high gears (I believe that is how you refer to the slow shots being slow and fast being fast, correct me if I'm wrong please) for an allround style of play.

Where would I get these rubbers? (I live in the states and tabletennis11 is my main site, but they don't have a lot of the brands I see people recommend)

Thanks in response for replies!

Edit: I'm not completely opposed to European rubbers but I really would prefer a tacky one. I would also prefer not to have to tune all my rubbers, but again wouldn't be completely opposed to it. I'd also prefer to not spend a ton of money unless the rubber is going to last me a long time. The next rubber I'm trying is the Yasaka Shining Dragon, I'll give my thoughts when I get to play with it.

I can say that Yasaka Shining Dragon isn't for beginner players at all. It takes a lot of effort to spin the ball and lot of power to smash and a very very active and effective push/cut to return properly.

Also YSD is according to intermediate players more of Chinese hybrid rubber. I personally think that YSD is the traditional Chinese rubber that can be heavily boosted as needed. Again all this is not for beginners. YSD is also only slightly tacky and not that sticky.

729 Battle II isn't that supposed to be grippy and not sticky ? I might be mistaken.

BattleII is the stickiest rubber ive ever seen, out of the box could hold a ball indefinitely

I've already played in college tournaments with good success, I play nearly every day for hours, I would consider myself intermediate, I'm very used to BattleII forcing me to use a lot of effort for spin

I'm using Gambler Burst as an alternative to Battle II.
I do not use a cover sheet. My Burst topsheet grippy after 3 months of use.
Currently attached to BBC All+ 5-ply blade.
