Just came across this:

Wow.. thirty bucks. Must be good... Is this new (BRAND new), or have I just not noticed it before? Eacheng DOES NOT CARRY IT, nor does anyone else on AliExpress other than Playa. "Cake Sponge", by the way, is big pore sponge by another name (think Sponge Cake.. ). I suppose I should go check the LARC. Buy it? Heck no, not for a long while anyhow - that's almost as expensive as, say, Baracuda. Probably 729 responding to the new color-coded AK47... (you wonder what Yinhe will do next in response, Big Dipper is getting long in the tooth. Maybe Sputnik Gold and Sputnik Silver? ) Natty packaging.

Some say 729 Bloom Power is an upgrade from Battle II. If so I have to try it.

Yeah, but which one? You have a choice of five... Also note that two are listed in the LARC, but there are five total. At least the price is reasonable (about $20).

Children in a sweet shop.
So many goodies all around, just for free. You can't taste everything, for human's lifespan is restricted badly, so pity indeed.
I feel some sincere compassion for all of us, guys.

Looks like Reactor has something new, too:

That's the THIRD rubber I've known called "Tornado". Anyone remember the Yasaka one in the 1980s (honey colored)? Note it's for 40+. Strangely cheap for a new rubber, though.

Just ordered a 729 Bloom Power.

I changed from H3 prov blue sponge to 729 Battle II in April and I think I like the Battle II even more than the H3 prov.

So, wait for few weeks and I can tell if its better. It's faster for sure but also so much control in pushing and chopping?

Greetings

Yes, definitely tell us what it's like..

One wonders about the other four, and the two Prestos as well. Anything you read elsewhere, please post it here.

This is the difference between them .two element very impt playing close to table and playing far from table. blade 729 bomb medium hardness with flexibility

Close to table i will take battle 2 any day over the H3prov as it has higher throw angle and easily able to lift deep chops compared to H3 PROV which can also be done but with more effort i mean more difficult for average players.Battle 2 this is basically tenergy 05 with hard sponge and tackiness as the pips in are almost tenergy size.
very spinny and fast with effort. with boosted battle 2 u can do the same with minimal increase in effort.

Far from table i will go with H3 Prov as it has lower throw angle and more easy to put back the ball on table than battle 2 with battle 2 i had to boost to drop its throw angle then its deadly .H3prov i never boosted as it was more difficult close to table so i stopped using it also.

Most important in games is the style u play if u play around 90% close to table i will go with battle 2 esp chinese style ,if u play far off then i would boost the battle 2 and play i prefer 729 rubbers over the dhs rubbers as they are more uniform and more quality builds and are not head heavy so control is good.
I am trying to get a battle 2 45 degree hardness as i would love to put it on my bh and see how it goes.

If u play more than 50% away from the table and engage in counterlooping all the way i would go with boosted battle 2 also i used xtreme booster from revolution which has no cancer causing chemicals.

my current set up is
blade: xiom zeta quad
FH: 729 08 ( OMG if u have strong forearm u can shock any great player with its shock and speed) moved from h3 neo to skyline 3 neo to battle 2 now with 729 08
BH; yasaka shining dragon more control and spinnier than speed
