Is this a joke? Why is it under the "Christmas gifts" section?

TIBHAR Hybrid K1 European Version
Brand new – be amongst the first to use new Hybrid K1 rubber from Tibhar and spin boost your game!
Hybrid K1 is a rubber “Made in Germany” developed to meet the requirements of players who prefer a Chinese tacky style surface but need the power and feel associated with German high quality sponges.
Designed for advanced through to professional players only.
The extremely grabby, almost sticky rubber surface offers great elasticity and flexibility, and compared to classic Chinese rubbers produces magnified acceleration and speed.
Perfect for the 40+ ball, the 50° hard, coarse-pored sponge, with it’s excellent catapult capabilities, reinforces the high acceleration.
Hybrid K1 features new UHR (Ultra High Rotation) technology which produces extremely high spin thanks to the rubbers adhering surface.
As a result more rotation is possible in your game in all situations, be it serve, chop, topspin or power loop.
This innovative combination of catapult and extreme rotation opens up new possibilities for loop and topspin players from half distance, and particularly helps in counter loop rallies.

Why would this be a joke? There are other tacky Tensors - Palio Thor's comes to mind (who makes up these names, I'd like to know... ).

Not clear if it's a new version or just the one previously available in Asia is finally available here.

Rival to Genesis from Stiga probably.

It's actually got "European Version" printed on the packet, so I expect it's somewhat different.

As to why the "Christmas Gifts" section - well, it IS getting to be that time of year...

Both K1 and K1 Euro share the same characteristics and the same text on the back of the package, though :) I wonder if it's really just a repackage.

Now that tt11 has got K1 Euro in stock (for $37.24), I can see it isn't a joke, and I think I will actually try it out.

Interesting that they ONLY sell the K1 Euro version though. Who sells the non-Euro version? Maybe you're right after all...

According to the LARC there is also a Hybrid K1 Pro (74-033 - the non-pro regular version is 74-023). TT11 does not have it. And there's a K2 also.

Incidentally, 74-024 is "Crazy Bull". I wonder where you can buy sheets of THAT.. Nope, not at TT11... (And why is there a rubber called "Sinus"? )

tt11 reside in Europe so I guess they aren't allowed to sell the original K* versions.

ttnpp carries K1 (not the Euro), K1 Plus, and K1 Pro - the latter being as expensive as $45!
I was only able to find a few offerings of K2 on ali.

Crazy Bull (as well as Crazy Bull II) seems to be another rubber available in Asian markets only. From the description, looks like nothing special, though.

Sinus is Latin for "sine". And the word "sinus" actually means "sine" in Russian and apparently in German, too.

Yeah, but to me it suggests a bad case of nasal congestion...

I just got a reply from tt11 and they gave their permission to me to post it here:

According to information from Tibhar
The points are that the set-up in total sponge and top sheet combination should be a bit softer than the Asian version.

Tibhar have confirmed that this Euro version is indeed available to dealers everywhere, while the original Hybrid K1 was exclusive to the China Tibhar distributor.

I wonder if it's similar to the Joola Golden Tango (or PS) perhaps? The description makes the Hybrid K1 sound like it's less tacky and has a coarses sponge (which means larger pores I assume), but as we know description are not always accurate. ;)

The statement about coarse sponge concerns me a little - according to my experience, a sponge with large pores (such as MX-P's) is very prone to losing its pieces when the glue is being removed.
I now much more prefer dense sponges.

You're probably right about the removal issues, but personally I always like how the large pore rubbers play, it seems to amplify the 'glue effect feel'.
