Hello everyone,

I have not played table tennis since 2004 so much have happened. I loved to glue the s*** out of my forehand rubber which was a JO Waldner. I used it for close to the table attacks and loops close to the table. Had a non friction long pips on backhand so you could say i had a similar style to Fabian Åkerström. My question is what kind of rubbers i should look at. So many new rubbers have been released and nowdays every brand seems to have like 20 different rubbers just for inverted rubbers. Since i am a returning player i guess a rubber thats not ultra fast should suit me but easy to spin.

Glued the heck out of Waldner? Ah.. No doubt about it. Sounds like you need the new Dignics 05 from Butterfly... Can't help you with the pips, you'll have to ask the long pips people for what has the least friction these days... You can still buy some of the old Hallmark rubbers from China but these haven't been soaked in the special frictionless sauce yet, I've been told...

Start with tibhar el-s. High spin, medium sponge, great grip, medium speed etc.

Want a harder sponge without excessive catapult? mx-s.
Want more speed and catapult? mx-p
Want a harder sponge, more speed and power? mx-p 50.

Want something softer? fx-p etc. Lots of room to change according to your preferences in the future. Good quality rubbers and at a normal price.

You can also use the donic coppa x2 Or the x3. The x2 is a bit faster than the x3 but still provides a lot of control. Both of them are all round rubbers with good spin and control.
