What: Juic Couga
Colour: Black.
Sponge: 2.2mm
Mass: 0.18962g/cm^2 (57.7g uncut)

Preparation:
2 layers of EEII, Primed with 2 layers of FC, glued with 1.5 layers of MC.

On what: Stiga Offensive Classic CR Pen (67g)
Front: Juic Couga 2.2 black max
Reverse: Mark V 30 red max

Topsheet impressions:
Grip: Medium. Less than Mark V & Sriver.
Thickness: Mediumish
Hardness: Softish. Not as soft as Mark V topsheet.

Sponge Impressions:
Hardness: Medium Soft. Softer than I expected. Maybe Mark V or Sriver EL hardness. Softer than Bryce. Softer than Nanocannon. Softer than Almana
Colour: Grey sponge. Like the Almana sponge.

Playing Impressions:
Serves aren't as spinny as Mark V. The rubber wasn't as insanely bouncy as TSP Bjorn glued up, but over the table it seemed controllable. Not that much spin, unless you dig the ball into the sponge on pushes. Flicks seemed ok, reasonably fast.
Spin looping with this rubber wasn't too hot. The topsheet doesn't grab the ball enough to really load up the spin and tends to repel the ball out a bit too quickly to get much arc. Where this rubber shone was heavy, fast looping. Close to the table with the ball digging into the sponge sufficiently produced a low fast spinny loop. It was reasonably easy to hit long close to the table and closing the blade did little to stop this. Mid distance, the rubber played brilliantly with a fast, low arc. Spin dropped off more than I would have liked.

Overall speed was less than TSP Bjorn & Bryce, more than Mark V 30.
Overall spin was less than TSP Bjorn & Mark V 30.

Who this rubber is most suited for:
Mid distance speed type loopers. Doesn't work well for spin type loopers.

Other rubbers this one most reminds me of:
Stiga Neos Sound. Slightly softer than Couga, but the topsheet felt very similar, though Neos Sound is probably less spinny again.

Thanks a lot Silver! Sounds like you didn't like it as much as some others did

hmmmmm
Well, I thought 1.5 layers of MC would be sufficient. It's fast, but it's not the fastest I've used.

And yes, you could claim that it's the best unglued and that you never lose with it :P Yes, I don't quite have the required technique either - I try to use the topsheet too much when I should be making the sponge make the spin.

Silver can't type. His arm's still broken from the Cats-R-Us club bashing.
