The difference between 05 and 25 is pretty easy to spot. 25- Big pimples, 05 little pimples. 64 is slightly softer.

Seeing how Tenergy receives all kinds of praise, I was wondering, which is which amongst them?

With the Platin and Platin soft it is easy to tell, Roxon, 450 is softer then 500, but what is the difference between Tenergy 05, 25 and 64? Is it purely hardness of sponge?

The pip width for 05 and 04 is 1.7mm and the 25 being 2.25 or something.

64 more euro
05 more asian
25 more speed

Try thinking of the relationship between the tenergys like:
64 = Bryce = Direct/Faster
25 = Sriver = Median
05 = Tackifire = High throw/Slower

well, sorta. Sponge is all the same iirc. And 05 isn't sticky.

Butterfly's numbers also reveal something.

64 - 13.5 Speed/10.5 Spin
25 - 13.25 Speed/11 Spin
05 - 13 Speed/11.5 Spin

i was corrected by some forum mebers here...

tenergy 64 and tenergy 5 pimple size is same, sponge is same, but tenergy 64 has lesser number of pimples than tenergy 5.

it seem right aparently by looking at my 64 and 5. i don't like tenergy 64 ... and making up my mind to sell my almost new BH rubber .. ;)

I have used Tenergy 05 for 6-7 months, and now using Tenergy 64 for the past month. Haven't tried Tenergy 25.

Main difference between 05 and 64 is the weight and the throw. If you have never used Tenergy, then I would suggest trying someone else bat to see if you like it. If you like chinese rubberis then I think you will love the Tenergy series. It is a hard rubber evan 64 which is meant to be softer is much harder then say Express or your normal euro rubbers.

Nice spin all both and I feel 64 has better control and is just a lot better to use on B/H.

None of them are sticky. It was to use existing stuff as an analogy.

I've only use T05 and whilst it is not slow by any stretch, it is slower than the Tensors I've used IMO. But it wouldn't be by much. I haven't used it a whole lot, but I played half a dozen games against my mate with it on my T8 the other day. Its very usable and I could substitute it into my game without much trouble. It gives good spin and hits with good force. The only issue I have is I've grown to love the Cayman's light weight and great power, so the T8 with T05 on board is rather heavy now - probably 180g lol.

Sounds like I would like the 64 better though.

I typically play with a hybrid(leaning tacky) like 999 Elite, or sometimes an outright Chinese rubber like Globe 999. People say such users can get behind Tenergy, so I'm interested in trying it out on a Vioncello (faster than what I typically use). "Faster/Direct and Euro" doesn't sound appealing to me, so that leans me more towards 05. However, I typically use soft sponges (Ultima, Defense, etc.), which leads me to 64 (also some have said 64 feels better on a Violin, maybe same for oversize version). Is the 64 still something that would seem natural enough to a soft tacky brush looper and blocker, or is 05 the safer bet? Going for 1.9 to tame it a touch.

I'd stay with the 2.1, its control actually gets better with the thicker sponges.
