I am going to switch FH rubber here soon and need some advise. I have read the reviews and done a lot of research and have come down to these 3.
Butterfly Tackfire C 1.9
Butterfly Tackfire Drive 1.9
Nittaku Hammond X 2.0
I find myself not so much power looping away from the table but more of a soft top spin so they can loop to my LP. Then I will end up doing a drive smash to end the point. I gave up on the 999 def because it was not fast enough. I have some 999 Elite Ult. SV with fair results but feels too woody on smashes. I also do a lot of FH blocking and can twiddle for BH slams. Don't tell me to get SP because "been there done that". So tell me what you think.

Tackifire C will be similar to 999 National. Heavy, hard, slow, needs glue.

The BTY rubbers seem unlively without sponge treatment.

Hammond X is still a fast rubber without glue. I hit best with that rubber on hard drives and loopdrives.

Both those butterfly rubbers need glue to be useful, I would definitely go with the Hammond X.

I used to use both Tackiness Chop and Drive and both of them were very dull rubbers without glue, definitely not the type of rubbers you would want to use for drive smashing, and your slow loops will be too slow in my opinion with those 2 rubbers.
