Blade: WRM Gokushu2
FH: S&T Secret Flow 1mm
BH: S&T Monkey ox
I posted this in my blog yesterday, but in the highly unlikely event that there might be a few isolated people that don't follow my blog, I thought I'd post it in this section also.

According to the manufacturer, this blade has the most control of any table tennis blade made today. However, all that is disclosed in the product description is that the blade is ~85gr and a primarily sponge player had success with it. If anyone has ever used one, please answer these questions:

Is it fast or slow?
Is it hard or soft?
Is it thick or thin?
Is it stiff or flexible?
Is it regular size or oversize?
How many plies is it?
What wood is it?
Is it springy or dampening?
Any choices of handle?
What type of playing style is this blade designed for?

I appreciate that a good sponge player used it (I wonder if he got it free?), but I want to know the kind of information above before making any kind of purchase decision on an $81.95 blade.

As I mentioned in your blog, it's pretty rediculous to make such a claim, and the term 'control' is not even officially defined, plus control will be different for different types of strokes or even styles!

Well, I would like to thank you and MNNB for letting me know. I looked at the message and noticed I had left out "by us" which I have corrected. It was not a deliberate omission. The Valor Champion blade is an excellent hardbat and I have yet to receive negative comments from any of my customers. I have also used the blade with inverted rubber on the FH, and LP on the backhand and it is a nice defensive blade for a modern defensive game.

I advertise the blade as a classic hardbat. In case you and MNNB do not know, most classic hardbats were oversized. So is the Valor Champion blade, but not by much.

MNNB if you wanted information on the blade or reviews on it a little research can go a long way. GOOGLE is a wonderful tool and it is very easy to use. Or simply send me an email and ask. If you are interested in Carlos Ko's opinion of the blade you can find a way of contacting him through GOOGLE. He can tell you the story of how he won the US Open Hardbat Championship in 2010, and how he got the blade. He can also tell you about the hardbat tournaments he has won with it since.

CHEERS!

P.S. "rediculous?" is that word officially defined? (BTW I love the beer in Sydney.)

Is it springy or dampening? Springy
Any choices of handle? No
What type of playing style is this blade designed for? Table tennis to include modern table tennis, hardbat, and sandpaper.

I appreciate that a good sponge player used it (I wonder if he got it free? Before the tournament started he was going to play with a Killerspin hardbat. I asked him to try the hardbat I was going to use. He liked it and asked me if he could borrow it. I said sure. After he won the tournament he tried to return it and I said keep it as a souvenir. So yes he got it for free after the fact.), but I want to know the kind of information above before making any kind of purchase decision on an $81.95 blade.
CHEERS!
