Before I knew Sebastian and before I have played against him to me it seemed that his balls are not so dangerous. But now I have played against him with long pimples and especially with the HELLFIRE. These balls are fast and hard to return. Please notice that our style to play is completely different and he uses are faster blade in the video than me.

It is much slower than the D Tecs. So you have a lot of control. In my oppinion you can compare it with a slow old D Tecs.

So, you mean that deadline for transition possibly isn't July 2014 anymore? That would be good news... where did you get that information from and what kind of problems are you refering to? Yes. At the moment there are any problems producing the new plastic balls. I think it is possible that these balls will come in 2015 or 2016.

I think these differences are mainly caused by their playing styles. Their strokes (position, arm movements, moment of taking the ball) in that video are totally different. Pascal, I was wondering how far away from the table you are standing when you are chopping in the first minute of the video.


I am not far away from it. Maybe 1 m or less.

Yes, it is. We will sell both versions. OX without glue sheet and OX with glue sheet. And the version with glue sheet is stretched.

How about the friction limit? Exactly 25 Nm or more?

Well, perhaps a little off topic, but you must be about the best qualified to answer: about stretching a long pimple rubber before attaching - what would be the pro's and con's? A little more distance betwen the pips, would that be legal? Isn't distance one of the parameters that ITTF check out when controlling a rubber?
Today I glued a black ox Grass D.TecS to a 1 mm dampening sponge, using an old "real" glue (I tried with waterbased but after an hour of play in a hot room the top sheet started to come off around the edges). When I put the glue on the top sheet it got a little bigger and I guess to orrow when glue is dry there will be some added tension between the top sheet and the sponge (sponge was attached to the blade all the time). Will tthis tension make the rubber faster? Will the pips return to original position faster after they've been bent? Will the pips feel a little more stiff?
Perhaps I will find out myself but I wonder what your opinion is in this question, since you sell two versions of your lp (which I most likely will try later this year). What are the differences between the ordinary and the stretched ones?

The perpetual motion of old grass dtecs has been mentioned by mathias in this forum few years ago.
Basically if you hit a spiny ball vertically by other LP (horizontal blade parallel to floor) several times then the rotation on the ball will die/stop. with old grass dtecs you can hit so many times and the rotation never stop. It related to the spin reversal for passive blocking or chop blocking.
