Thanks Carbonman I have taken this on board. I realise in the clips that I am relying too much on the backhand, and losing strength and confidence in the forehand. I am now working on an equally strong off forehand, better (I mean some) footwork and especially closing that hole in my backhand side. Also learning some new serves, already caused a few aces with these puppies.

Good to hear guy. Post some vids of your updated game when u get a chance.

btw - is Eddie Kasser still playing down there? If so, do you know why he moved to Tassie in the first place?

I just read that you are playing in the Austn Vets. Good luck. A tip: If I were you I would start working on short serves. If you serve long against the better players there you will be pickin up a lot of balls. :)

Thanks, will do :) Yes Eddie Kasser is still around the place here, sensational player to watch and still rated near the top.

And yes short serves also, I have been making a line halfway along the table with Plastic Cups, and serving shorter than half way.. Will move them slightly closer over the next few weeks. A friend I have made from the US has been giving me some advice, and some drills to balance b/h and forehand work.

Its always a good thing to take a break when you feel stuck @ TT.
When you make a comeback you could improve very fast :)

I remember two days ago when I forced myself to use my 1.2mm DTecs.
It turns out I can't chop well. I take a moment of break and silence and found out that because of some stupid reason I follow a troll's advice on YouTube lol.
I come back to my natural stroke, making a curve rather than totally straight chops and voila, epic level up.

So hohum, yeah thats a bit about me and its always wise not to force yourself to do strokes unnatural to your body. Follow your natural tendencies and technique will develop :)

I Agree YosuaYosan .. after a break some of the bad habits dissappear, unfortunate;y some good ones go too ala footwork :)
But they are coming back stronger.

Not sure why Eddie moved here, he is fairly quiet and haven't seen him for a while. Eddie Fisher comes to mind ??

One of my games at Australian Vets. Opponent is Peter Lander QLD. Even though I lost the match in straight sets, I proved to be a handful with some strong serves and forehands.
