Hi All, I'm new to the OOAK Forum but some of you may know me from TTDaily where I'm a moderator, I also have my own blog and feed content there, so it's a great opportunity for me to share stuff with you here. I worked for a year as the President of a regional table tennis body and trained frequently every week, I'm relocating soon to take on the role of Regional Development Officer which should bring some new challenges and perhaps I can take some ideas from here (you guys) to help me develop the sport. Hope you enjoy following me as I go, but for now take a look at my brain child which I've poured hours of work into in the past 6 months.

My blog started in the last week of June and has transformed since then. I've really got stuck into interviewing players and have formed some great relationships with international players. A great place to start on my blog is with one of my recent posts with links to all my interviews here: http://matthetherington.blogspot.com/2011/12/2011-draws-to-close.html

My prize interviews are with Samsonov, Saive and Baum as well as Peter Karlsson, Richard Prause etc. the list goes on. I put a tonne of effort into my blog and try and create as much content as possible.

Visit it at http://matthetherington.blogspot.com

Hope you enjoy!

Nice China racket on the intro Bro Matt :D
Nah JK, neat editing as usual and great points and footages.

I hope you made Europe's 'dominance' vid instead
All in all still a great vid to watch

Oh and is it already 16:9 Widescreen because I didn't see the vid fully fit the YouTube player.

Passion > Danger Senses :P

I hope I'll make the team again, I was lucky to get to go last year on selection terms so there will be a lot more hard work going in, I really enjoyed it last year and it was a great experience

Well my first few days in Christchurch have been great. Spent a lot of time checking out the previous work done and not much to go by so I'll be keen to get stuck into it. Had my first training session and have started going to crossfit which I'll be doing 3 times a week. There are different sessions: a motion training session, a strength training session and a gymnastics/flexibility session. I did a motion training session at 6am and a strength training session at 10am today. Body is a bit sore but it will be great for my table tennis in not too long :)

My first task is to organise a demonstration plan for the schools. They want me to create a mix of exhibition style demonstration with interactive demonstrations. Essentially they want to involve the kids in the demonstration and have already invested in some table tennis style targets etc. Should be fun! :)

That's definitely worth putting some effort into... A good demo can really inspire the kids to take up TT, even if it takes a long time to get to a high level.
